Art, Music, and More at Greenville County Museum's Free Thursday Evening Programs


There's something for everyone as the Greenville County Museum of Art continues a range of special events and programs on Thursday evenings. Programs begin at 6:30PM, and the Museum is open every Thursday until 8 pm.

A full schedule of upcoming Thursday night events is below:

  • October 9 - Chihuly and Columbia: video selections of the premier glass artist whose work will be on exhibit at the Columbia Museum of Art
  • October 23 - All Shapes and Sizes: Jeanet Dreskin discusses David Macaulay’s anatomical drawings for How We Work.
  • October 16 - Museum closes at 5:00 pm
  • November 6 - The Art of Framing: Works of Art on Paper, tips on the dos and don’ts of framing prints and watercolors
  • November 13 - Music in the Galleries: the Greenville Early Music group will perform vocal and instrumental selections
  • November 20 - Artists Talk: Dabney Mahanes and Julie Shabkie discuss art
  • December 4 - Monita Mahoney demonstrates the Magic of Marbling
  • December 11 - Holiday Music in the Galleries: Fayssoux Dunbar McLean and Brandon Turner perform
The Greenville County Museum of Art offers its visitors a way to sample the very best in American art through traveling exhibitions and exhibitions drawn from its own collection. Since its inception, the Museum has also collected contemporary art. The Contemporary Collection includes examples from every major movement in American art, featuring artists such as Josef Josef Albers, Jasper Johns, Andy Warhol, Romare Bearden, Jacob Lawrence, Eric Fischl, and Leon Golub.http://www.greenvillemuseum.org for more information.
