Would you like the opportunity to talk politics with a Furman University professor while having a brownbag lunch in downtown Greenville? You’ll have your chance beginning Thursday, Oct. 2, when the first of Furman’s political scientists come to FYI on Main Street for “Politics at High Noon,” a weekly series of talks about the upcoming election.
All the talks begin at noon and are free to the public. The professors will talk briefly about a variety of topics dealing with the 2008 presidential election and then open the floor to questions and discussion. Furman will provide the expert, the location and something to drink. You just need to bring your own lunch. FYI is located at 612B South Main Street. The center occupies the second floor above the Go Fish gift shop, across from Falls Park and next to Spill the Beans. Here’s a complete list of talks. For more information, contact Furman’s News and Media Relations office at 864-294-3107.
